About Ameen Abdullah

Ameen Abdullah is a creative developer currently working at LUCERRÁ. His work focuses on pushing the boundaries of what is achievable in a web browser using the latest GPU APIs including WebGPU compute shaders, Three.js WebGPU renderer, and TSL to build interactive cinematic 3D web experiences that feel tactile and alive.

His background spans GPU shader programming, compiler theory, robotics (ROS2), machine learning (GAT-Transformer hybrid architectures, MediaPipe), and embedded systems (ESP32, Arduino). This unusually broad technical foundation informs a practice that is equally comfortable in low-level GPU pipelines and high-level creative direction.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Ameen Abdullah do?

Ameen Abdullah is a creative developer specializing in WebGL, WebGPU, and Three.js. He builds interactive cinematic 3D web experiences, real-time GPU simulations, and visually immersive websites for clients and for LUCERRÁ, a creative development studio.

What technologies does Ameen Abdullah use?

His primary stack includes Three.js, WebGL, WebGPU, TSL (Three.js Shading Language), GSAP, and Nuxt.js, Theater.js. He writes GLSL and TSL shaders for both visual effects and GPU compute tasks.

Is Ameen Abdullah available for freelance work?

Available for freelance work depending on the project. Reach out at [email protected] to discuss fit.

Where is Ameen Abdullah based?

Ameen Abdullah is based in Kerala, India.

What is TSL (Three.js Shading Language)?

TSL is a node-based shading language built into Three.js WebGPU renderer. It allows developers to write GPU shaders in JavaScript using a composable node graph API — Fn(), instancedArray, uniform(), and compute() — that compiles to both WGSL (WebGPU) and GLSL (WebGL) automatically. Ameen Abdullah is an active practitioner of TSL-based shader and compute work.

A personal portfolio of Hardik Bhansali, a designer who creates cinematic web experiences.

This project was done internally at our studio Lucerra as the portfolio of our founder Hardik Bhansali. The whole website lives inside a TV with fluid distortion that mimics an old CRT screen bulge, and TV channels change on scroll for each section. Audio has that vintage walky-talky feel to give it the retro vibe. Balancing the visual effects with performance was challenging, but it taught me a lot about optimization and working with WebGL.
